30th Anniversary of ‘METHOD BEATS’
We realised that another important date had been left out — the 30th anniversary of Method Man‘s single Release Yo’Delf, featuring that legendary remix by The Prodigy, which has long taken on a life of its own and in many ways outlived the original.
According to Leeroy, this collaboration began in September 1994. On 4 September, at the gig in the Netherlands, the Wu-Tang Clan, who had just released their debut album ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’, publicly expressed their respect for The Prodigy — in particular for the track Poison. Contact was established, and everything else fell into place surprisingly quickly.
